Day in National Park Mavrovo. The Mavrovo National Park is the largest of the three national parks of North Macedonia. Mavrovo Lake is situated in the Mavrovo region, in the Mavrovo and Rostuša municipality of the Republic of North Macedonia, less than 100 km from Skopje. The lake lies at an altitude of 1220 m. It is 12 km long, 3 km wide and covers an area of 13.3 square kilometers.

Known as the town of 365 churches (one for each day of the year), the Ohrid region had been considered as the second Jerusalem. Lake Ohrid is a lake that straddles the mountainous border between the southwestern part of North Macedonia and eastern Albania. It is one of Europe's deepest and oldest lakes.
