Skopje, Kumanovo, Kokino, Kratovo , Stone puppets and monastery Sv Joakm Osogovski

Departure from Skopje.

First, we will visit the megalithic observatory of the 4th century BC Kokino Macedonia and the monastery of St. George protected by UNESCO. You will hear the interesting legend of Kokino and you will see the beautiful Kokino observatory. The view from there is breathtaking. Bronze Age archaeological site in the Republic of Macedonia. According to this interpretation, the site includes special stone markers used to track the movement of the Sun and Moon on the eastern horizon. The view from there is breathtaking.

Next, sightseeing the monument of nature, over 50,000 years old Stone puppets in Kratovo, or known like Stone Dolls. Breathtaking nature beauty which won’t leave you indifferent. After the sightseeing of Stone Dolls, we continue a 30 min walk around the beautiful town Kratovo, also known as the city of bridges. Here we will have lunch.

Continuing to the Monastery of St.Joakim Osogovski. Osogovo Monastery is a Macedonian Orthodox monastery located near Kriva Palanka, North Macedonia, 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) from the Bulgarian border on Osogovo Mountain. The monastery consists of two churches including the larger "Saint Joachim of Osogovo" and the smaller "Holy Mother of God." The monastery grounds also consist of a bell tower, dormitories, a guardhouse, and a residency for the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church.

There you can taste local rakija and wine. We will continue our trip with a 30 min walk around the little town of Kriva Palanka and a well-deserved coffee break.
After a long and full-field day, we are heading to Skopje.
